News Bits

Just noticed that 6-foot-10, 220 Junior Sileu, currently at Arizona Compass Prep, (the program where San Jose State assistant coach Ed Gipson used to work) was offered by San Jose State University in late July 2023. The Spartans desperately need a big who can defend first and hopefully score some in the paint. Sileu is out of Cameroon.

Quinn (Bellarmine/West Valley College/Cal State San Marcos) Denker, is the leading scorer for Idaho at 12.8 points per game while shooting 40%, 32% and 85%. He grabbing rebounds at a 3.6 rate and sports a 105/58 assist-to-turnover ratio. His shooting percentages would be higher if he had a scoring big inside who would draw some attention from the Vandal outside shooters and his assist totals would also be higher if he was surrounded by more accurate shooters. As a team, the Vandals are underwater versus opponents in all three shooting categories.
