There are plenty of schools at various levels in Nor Cal who should be touching base with Jai. It appears he has one season of eligibility remaining.

It's Miramonte High's loss as well as that of the Bay Area because we won't get to see him play. We wish him well. Get that wardrobe beefed up for New England winters.

San Jose State University Updates

JUCO Advocate Brandon Goble: "6'10 F William Humer - San Jose St Transfer, 2 years to play"

He was overmatched this season and probably should drop to D2.

CBB Europe: "Álvaro Cárdenas has entered the portal with 1 to play..."

He will be missed at the point but can't blame him. He wants to be in a place where winning games have better odds. Some NIL $$$ may come his way, too.

Portal Updates: "Tibet Gorener has entered the transfer portal. Gorener, a 6’9” senior forward averaged 11.4 points, and 3.9 rebounds."

He performed inconsistently in every aspect of the game, even with his best skill of three-point shooting.

Verbal Commits: "San José State G Myron Amey, Jr. has entered the transfer portal."

Amey and Cardenas were the best two Spartans by far this season. This one is a surprise considering what he has gone through personally the last few years but he has one year of eligibility remaining and wants to win. NIL $$$ will come his way, too.

Portal Updates: "Oral Roberts transfer Jailen Bedford tells us he’s heard from the following schools:

  • New Mexico
  • Xavier
  • Duquesne
  • Nevada
  • New Mexico State
  • San Jose State has offered
  • George Washington
  • UTEP
  • UC Riverside"

It will be difficult to top New Mexico if Bedford is one of their top targets.
