Daniel Shepard: "Spoke to CCSAINTSMBB's Cam Niles, a 1st-year Saint and transfer from Yuba College. He was recently diagnosed with cancer at age 21 and is back home in California fighting the disease. A GoFundMe started over the weekend has raised over $4,000 for his medical expenses."

The 6-foot-6 Niles is out of Del Campo High, UC Davis, Yuba College and currently Carroll College in Montana.

Verbal Commits: "2025 Frank Phillips College (TX) G Alem Fejzić has committed to Pacific. Qualifier w/three years to play."

Pacific Coach Dave Smart also received a commit from another 6-foot-3 guard in the Kansas community college ranks. Plus, he has a commit from 6-foot-6 wing Kellen Hampton/Moreau Catholic High.

Joe Tipton: "NEWS: Xavion Staton, the No. 31 overall recruit in the 2025 class, has committed to BYU, he tells On3Recruits. The 7-foot center chose the Cougars over Michigan, UNLV, and Stanford."

This young man rightfully has his eyes on the NBA and not a four-college plan/degree. He has that level of potential so here's hoping he doesn't get injured.

Last Monday, 6-foot-5 senior Anthony (Dublin High/USF) Roy did it again for Green Bay as he tallied 27 points in 34 minutes on the road versus Oklahoma State in an 89-76 loss. Roy shot 7-13 from long distance and also grabbed five rebounds alongside three assists. (The assist total in the above photo is incorrect.)

Rocco Miller: "Adrame Diongue (plantar tendonitis) and Freshman Ben Roseborough (in Boot) are OUT indefinitely..."

SJSU is really missing what Roseborough can do best: put the ball through the net as a one or a two guard. But he was in a boot last season when he attended games so that he is still hobbled doesn't bode well. Diongue could help the Spartans if he can play as a four and contribute with rebounds and blocked shots -- there was a hole at the four spot in the opening game. Zero contributions from the starter in 13 minutes.

"(Cade) Bennerman, a 6-foot-11, 195-pound senior, picked Northwestern over finalists Michigan, Penn State, South Florida, California and Tennessee State..."

In a Kansas State 89-65 victory over New Orleans on Wednesday, newcomer Coleman (Antelope High/Prolific Prep) Hawkins finished with nine rebounds, and five points in 33 minutes. He shot 2-9 overall, 1-6 from long distance in his debut with his new team.

Here's a recent feature on the 6-foot-10 Hawkins.
