San Jose State University was able to get in with Bell Jr. because the 6-foot-6 shooting guard suffered an injury (shattering his tibia and rupturing his patellar tendon) and most, if not all, of the high major programs who had offered or were in pursuit bowed out of his recruitment. He visited SJSU and Murray State in September and DePaul earlier in June.

6-foot-8 21-year-old rookie Jaylen (Folsom High/Sonoma State/Washington State) Wells is averaging 25 minutes a game for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA and posting averages of 11.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists to date.

Myron (Vacaville High/Scotland Prep) Amey Jr. transferred from San Jose State University to Loyola Marymount and in two games/starts and 22.0 minutes an outing, he is averaging 12.0 points per contest alongside 2.5 rebounds. The 6-foot-2 redshirt junior guard is shooting 46%, 21% and is 1-for-1 at the foul line. He also has four steals.

6-foot-5 Courtney (Dublin High) Anderson Jr. went out of state to the University of Colorado post high school and redshirted as a freshman. One reason: turning 18 just before the season began in November. Now he is back and he has played one minute in the first four Buffalo games. Not to extrapolate too much or too early, but barring injuries, he may not play much this season and MAY face a reckoning of sorts if say two of Colorado's new recruits play shooting guard. Currently, Coach Tad Boyle has commitments from a pair of prep points, a 6-foot-4 prep shooting guard and a 6-foot-5 prep wing, and that's not even taking into consideration the transfer portal.

Rocco Miller: "Green Bay's Anthony Roy went big at Western Illinois to help the Phoenix get Coach Greg Gottlieb his first win, 87-73. Roy had 35 points and 8 rebounds. An extremely talented player who is finally finding a home in Green Bay."
Roy is out of Dublin High and attended USF as a freshman.

6-foot-6 senior Jason (Clear Lake High) Mertle finished with a 14 point, 11 rebound double-double as UC Merced dropped Stanton 84-51 at home. A 45-25 second 20 minutes broken open the Tuesday pairing.

6-foot-8 Tyler (Granada High) Harris transferred from Portland to Washington last May and is listed as a shooting guard for the Huskies. His early numbers to date: 10.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, shooting 48%, 43%, 50% respectively, 8 blocked shots, five steals in three games, one start and 24 minutes a contest.
6-foot-4 freshman guard Jase (The Branson School) Butler is Harris' teammate and in two games, 16 minutes an outing, is scoring 7.0 points and grabbing 1.0 rebounds a night. Butler is shooting 36%, 30% and 75% respectively

Tennessee 92, Montana 57 box. Sophomore guard Money (Okland High) Williams totaled 30 points of his team's 57 total. A 52-26 second half broke the game open for the Volunteers.
UConn 90, LeMoyne 49 box. For the victors, Aden (Campolindo High/St. Mary's) Mahaney started and played 15 minutes, contributing four points, a pair of assists and one rebound.
Vanderbilt 85, California 69 box. Host Vandy jumped out to a 49-31 halftime lead and the Bears committed 20 turnovers -- just a bad night overall in Nashville.
Texas Tech 96, Wyoming 49 box. Chance (Jesse Bethel High/Golden State Prep/Grand Canyon) McWilliams scored 16 points in 25 minutes, shooting 4-4 from long distance and Darrion (Capital Christian High/Bishop Gorman High/Nevada) Williams provided 14 points and four steal in 21 minutes in the victory.
North Dakota State 88, Santa Clara 80 OT box. The Broncos were out-shot, going 8-37 on trey attempts while Dakota shot 15-32. The visitors also made nine more free throws.
San Francisco 84, Long Beach State 54 box. The Dons shot 32-54 while the Southlanders finished 20-54.
