According to the following, Cal grad Jaylon Tyson may not play a lot this season because of the veterans ahead of him but he has performed well: "The 20th overall pick is the lone newbie. Despite Atkinson singling out Jaylon Tyson numerous times and admitting that it will be difficult to keep the rookie off the floor, Tyson is caught in an early-season numbers game. Theoretically, he plays the two positions — shooting guard and small forward — where Cleveland is deepest. Perhaps in a pinch he could slide to the 4. But that would be matchup specific.

So, how does he get playing time?

Given that the Cavs didn’t draft him to make an immediate impact, Tyson could be a candidate to play with the G League affiliate Charge at some point — if the organization believes on-court reps and minutes would aid in his development."
