"4-star SF Jasir Rencher commits to Texas A&M"

Congrats to the 6-foot-4, 200 Rencher, out of Archbishop Riordan. Would love to see him in uniform at California or St. Mary's but it didn't play out either way.

Rencher may not start right away but should do so soon. As for competition for minutes, TAM has a 6-foot-6 redshirt freshman forward returning, a 6-foot-7, 220 freshman listed as a guard/forward plus a 6-foot-4, 205 freshman guard.

Joe Tipton: "NEWS: Xavion Staton, the No. 31 overall player in the 2025 class, will announce his college commitment on November 4th, he tells On3Recruits. The 7-0 center will decide between Michigan, BYU, UNLV, and Stanford."

Stanford is the easy choice just based on the weather experience alone at each campus. Throw in education plus playing in the ACC and it's kind of a no-brainer. Official visit October 4. Do keep in mind though that he lives in Vegas.

Irvine is an excellent start in recruiting for Isaak -- very good school and a successful hoops program. The 6-foot-4 sharpshooting 2025 guard also has ballhandling ability plus a 3.9 GPA. Wonder which class he got a 'B' in? Isaak attends San Ramon Valley High and plays in the spring and summer with the Jalen Green Elite.

Jonathan Wasserman: "Money Williams, Montana 6-4 200lbs

Slept on PG after playing just 12 games due to broken foot bone. Shifty PnR ball-handler who whips quick one-handed passes, changes speeds into drives, excellent floater game. Excels at improvising, adapting to defense. Aggressive in transition. Made 45-51 FTs. Ultra high usage. Not explosive, needs to keep improving shooting based on small sample size."

Wasserman is an NBA draft guru. The sophomore Williams is out of Oakland High. It's a bit surprising that a team didn't lure Williams away with some NIL $.

Jonathan Wasserman: "Darrion Williams, Texas Tech 6-6 210, 21 y/o

Strong wing frame with easy-fit game. 100th percentile spotup scorer, 47% catch-shoot. Money hitting 1-2 dribble pullups. Uses strength, shotmaking skill out of post. IQ shows on passing/defensive reads. Good positional rebounder. Low-usage creator, not explosive athlete, minimal rim pressure off bounce."

Williams played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Capital Christian before moving to Las Vegas.
