St. Vincent High boys basketball Coach Tom Bonfigli notched victory #844 in his team's season opening game. This will be Bonfigli's final season.

Warriors rookie 6-foot-4 Brandin Podziemski played 39 minutes in a loss to Minnesota and took full advantage of the greater court time. The 19th pick in this year’s draft led his team with 23 points on 9-of-18 overall shooting. He also contributed seven rebounds, and five assists. The rookie out of Santa Clara amazingly became the first Warrior besides Steph Curry this season to score more than 20 points in a game.

Cosumnes River College 87, Gavilan College 81 full boxscore  Isaiah (Burbank High) Griffin paced CRC with 22 points while Fabian (Capital Christian) Reichstadt, Bricen (Christopher High) Buciak and Cameron (Aptos High) Saldana each provided 17 points.
