"Coleman Hawkins commits to Kansas State and reported $2M payday"

K State was the only visit Hawkins took. Over $2.1 million as the article notes. Good for him.

Verbal Commits: "2024 College of the Sequoias (CA)/Southeastern Louisiana commit G Jose Cuello is reopening his recruitment.

Don't know why Cuello is de-comitting. His note (see just below) says it's for "unforeseen circumstances."

He is the most talented backcourter in the CA JC sophomore ranks this season and a D1 talent. Here's a tweet from the Recruit Zone: "JUCO prospect Jose Cuello tells me that he has heard from the following schools since reopening his recruitment":

  • UTRGV
  • Prairie View-A&M
  • SIEU
  • Utah Valley

Jasir Rencher: "Blessed to receive an offer from Santa Clara University!"

Head Coach Herb Sendek and the Bronco staff have enjoyed remarkable success with now NBA backcourters Jalen Williams and then Brandon Podziemski. That could prove attractive if Rencher wants to remain local. But yes, Cal has also offered as has San Francisco and like 15 others.

Team Arsenal: "Congrats to 2025 6’5 Isaiah Ackerman (Aptos HS) on his offer from Cal Poly Humboldt."

CPH rival Chico State should also be in on Ackerman.

Gavin Sykes: "I am very blessed to receive a D1 offer from Sam Houston State. Thank you to Coach Mudge and Coach White and the whole staff for believing in me and my talents."

Sorry, the 6-foot-5 Modesto Christian guard isn't going there. Has recent offers from California, Long Beach State and UC Riverside. Earlier offers are from UC San Diego, USF, San Jose State University, Sacramento State, UC Santa Barbara and Montana. My prediction: Sykes isn't leaving the Golden State.

Larry Lewis: "After a great conversation with Coach Booker and Coach Fish, I’m extremely blessed to receive an offer from Cal State San Marcos! Thank you to Coach Booker and the entire staff for believing in me."

Vaucher is a 6-foot-7, 2025 prospect at Las Lomas High and with Infinite Training.

Hit the link for a brief video of Vaucher in action. He can definitely connect from outside.

Verbal Commits: "2027 ABC Prep (NM) G Brandon Mason, Jr. has received an offer from San José State."

This is Mason's sixth D1 offer and he's in the 2027 class!

"Ex-Illinois star Terrence Shannon Jr. found not guilty of rape"

Not Nor Cal related but the DA's office did sloppy, lazy and incomplete work here. It's good to see he will be able to keep playing and in the NBA rather than become another victim of 'all black men look alike'.

Priority Sports: "A warm welcome to Zyon Pullin!"

Pullin has hired Priority Sports as his representative agency. He may or may not get drafted but will certainly have some options as a free agent. This after a tremendous senior season at Florida, having come a long way from College Park High and even UC Riverside.
