Bakare is a 6-foot-5, 190 pound small forward out of Vancouver, B.C. He had earlier (July) committed to Penn State.

With a name appropriate for an Ivy League-educated lawyer, he's a 6-foot-3 guard. Buffalo and Northern Colorado have also offered.

SMC out rebounded Ole Miss 44 to 24, and McKeever had 9 of them. Gaels got up 17, gave up a bunch of turnovers and struggled with pressure in the middle, and then got it back up to 15. Ole Miss shot just 37%. Dent played the whole second half and dished out 8 assists. Kevin Gad started and played a lot at SF."

On Friday, Cal State East Bay fell 96-87 to host Cal Poly who were paced by Qatar-born Hamad Mousa's 25 points and five boards. Teammate Peter Bandelj of Slovenia scored 16 points and led with eight assists. CSEB was led by Beril Kabamba's 18 points, totaled by shooting 6-8 from three-point range. 5-foot-10 guard Matt (Moreau Catholic/Ohlone College) Villanueva provided 15 points and his five assists paced the Hayward-ites.

Utah State went on the road to best USF 79-74 on Saturday. For the victors, 6-foot-2 freshman guard Elijah (Clayton Valley Charter) Perryman played 14 minutes and scored six points, dished out two assists but committed three turnovers. Ryan (Dougherty Valley High) Beasley of the Dons led all scorers with 25 points. USF was ahead 37-35 at the half.

Host Montana topped Denver 89-77 on Sunday as guard Money (Oakland High) Williams tallied 19 points and led the Griz with eight assists. His teammate, 6-foot-6 redshirt freshman Tyler (Vanden High) Thompson, scored 16 points in 19 minutes, shooting 4-8 from long distance.

San Jose State University welcomed Cal State East Bay down Highway 880 on Monday and nabbed a 73-60 victory. It was Newcomer Night as newbie 6-foot-3 JaVaughn Hannah led with 17 points and added eight rebounds, Fellow newbies with noteworthy contributions included 6-foot-8 Yaphet Moundi's 10 points and 11 boards, 6-foot Colby Garland's 12 points and 6-foot-4 Ben (Monterey Trail High) Roseborough with seven points and a team high five assists. 6-foot-10 returnee Sadraque NgaNga provided 12 points.

Stanford defeated Oregon 78-70 on The Farm Thursday but it must be noted that the Ducks were missing top player Jackson Shelstad (a 6-foot-2 point still out with a broken hand). 6-foot-8 Harvard transfer Chisom Okpara paced the Cardinal with 20 points and teammate freshman guard Ebuka Okorie tallied 17 points. Stanford managed 10 assists versus seven turnovers.

Out of Palo Alto High, Washington State Coach David Riley has been on the move as a head coach and quickly. After three successful seasons as Eastern Washington's top coach (his first head coach position), he moved on to become the program leader at Washington State, currently a member of the West Coast Conference.
Now beginning his second season in the Palouse, he initially posted a 19-15 first season record. Riley is 81-53 in his four seasons as a head coach. He earned two Big Sky Coach of the Year honors during his three years at EW.
WSU is picked to finish sixth in the West Coast Conference this season, behind Gonzaga, St. Mary's, USF, Santa Clara and Oregon State.

Surprising this took that long considering Vann-Kelly is from the Sacramento area (Monterey Trail High). He has a ton of official suitors but no 'killer' offer as yet.

Hard to see this one happening but Vann-Kelly is an impossible read at this point.
