Dominican Men's Basketball: "SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Nathan Ilunga had a productive 2 year career with the Pengs. The Congo native tallied 5 career double-doubles in his time at Dominican. As a senior, he led our team in rebounds, blocks, and 3PT%. He will graduate with a degree in Finance this spring."

From The Congo to a B.A. in finance here. That says so much about Ilunga as a person. At 6-foot-8 and 230 pounds, he played at City College San Francisco prior to Dominican.

Jeff Goodman: "Florida transfer Kajus Kublickas is headed to Pacific, source told TheFieldOf68."

Coming from the national champion, thus having been recruited by such, this young man must have promise. A 6-foot-2, 180 pound point guard out of Lithuania, he has been with the Gators for two season but rarely hit the floor. Looking at both seasons, he should be able to petition for an additional year of eligibility.

"Portal Updates: Washington transfer KC Ibekwe has committed to Pacific, per several reports. The 6’10” junior center appeared in 12 games for the Huskies this season seeing limited action. Ibekwe previously played at Oregon State where he averaged 5.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game during the 2023-24 season."

He'll need surrounding by a playmaking guard and some outside shooters (like 99% of most bigs) but he certainly fills a hole and his 2023-24 numbers indicate his potential (Washington was a lost cause this season but he wasn't going to play much anyway (just 68 minutes) with the very effective Great Osobor in the middle). Besides being 6-foot-10, he weighs 285 pounds. Quite the catch for the Tigers.

Kasen Krueger: "1000% commited.".

The 6-foot-1 backcourter out of Amador Valley High is headed to High Point University, a private school in North Carolina. The squad finished 29-6 this season, finishing 14-2 in the Big South Conference and lost to Purdue in the initial round of the Big Dance.

Carleson is 6-foot-3 and out of Serra High.

J: "Another commit for Mike Bibby and Shaq. Jayden Teat (Utah) just committed to Sac State. Teat joins a growing list of notable names including Mikey Williams, Shaqir O’Neal, Bear Cherry, Taj Glover, Isaiah Bronson, Brandon Gardner, & Zach Anderson. SACRAMENTO STATE IS COOKING."

Teat is a 6-foot-1, 180 pound point who is competing his first year at Utah. It appears he was a walk-on. He attended Jesuit High for three years in Sacrament before transferring to Capital Christian High as a senior.

Destiny Christian Academy Men's Basketball: "Congrats to Jaylen Valdez on his commitment to Stanislaus State - hard work pays off! Looking forward to watching you compete at the next level!"

Valdez is a 6-foot-3 combo guard who has also attended Capital Christian High.

Sterling Mcclanahan: "After a great conversation with Coach Tighe I’m blessed to receive a full scholarship offer from U of Mary!"

U of M is located in North Dakota. He also has an offer from UC Merced which is my guess for his landing spot if the schollie $$$ is similar. Mcclanahan is a 6-foot-3 guard at Las Positas College and also out of Vanden High.

Tariq Weiser: "Extremely honored and grateful to have received my first Division 2 offer from Alaska Fairbanks. Thank you Coach Ostanik and Coach Karlberg for believing in me!"

The 6-foot-3, 190 pound Weiser attends San Jose City College and plays as a combo guard. He's out of Bellarmine College Prep.

His teammate, 6-foot-6, 210 pound forward Davis Crilly, also owns an offer from Alaska Fairbanks.

........................................

Elijah Hayeems: "Blessed to receive a D1 offer from Bethune Cookman."

At 6-foot-6. he's out of Stuart Hall High and currently in Arizona playing for the PHHoenix Prep squad. He has also played with Lakeshow.

Austin Mick: "6’5 Sacramento State Grad Transfer Combo EJ Neal has heard from a good amount of D1s.

The Sniper can really shoot the ball. Sets his feet and turns his shoulder quick. Attacks the ball with great rhythm on a 1,2 or hop. Has good range and Shoots off pins/staggers, handoffs, ghost pop 3’s, spots/relocations, creating his own off dribble moves, and transition run in 3’s. Can attack a closeout or curl a pin to get downhill. Good playing off action and knows how to probe and hostage in the lane/on a drop. Has stop and pop or get to spot elevate mids, rondo turnaround mids, and half spin mids in lane. Solid passer. Can hit rolls and dropoffs off action. Also sees kickouts. Scoop and reverse finishes. Can guard in space.
