Florida 84, Texas Tech 79 box. Darrion (Capital Christian High) Williams led TT with 23 points plus provided five rebounds and three steals. He shot 9-18, 3-8 and 2-3 respectively. Teammate Chance (St. Ptric St. Vincent High/Golden State Prep/Grand Canyon) McMillian didn't start but finished with 14 points on 5-11, 2-5, 2-2 shooting respectively.
The Sunshine Staters won the first half by two points and the second 20 minutes by three but Tech was ahead by nine points,75-66 with less than three minutes remaining. Such a dramatic turnaround is shades of what happened in the Red Raiders previous game when they pulled it out. Missed free throws, the front ends of one and ones, really hurt the Lone Star Staters late plus Williams was errant on a couple of late shot attempts.
