6-foot-5 Emory University sophomore A.J. (Piedmont High) Harris is averaging 11.8 points plus 5.2 rebounds while shooting 46%, 35% and 60% respectively in 21 games/starts and 28 minutes a contest. He also has 35 assists as well as 32 steals.

Nevada 73, San Jose State University 58 box. The Spartans were again missing their top two scorers in Josh Uduje and Will McClendon, hence the 58 points. Yet SJSU led 27-26 after 20 minutes. But allowing Nevada to shoot a torrid 52% overall, especially on the road, is cruising for an L.

Sat, Feb 15, NCAA D1 scores

Duke 106, Stanford 70 box. The Cardinal were down by 15 by halftime and matters became worse afterwards. Maxime Raynaud scored a team high 19 points but needed 21 shot attempts. What's interesting is he was accurate on four of nine three-point shots.

Georgia Tech 90, California 88 OT box. Cal was down by five after 20 minutes and came back to tie it up, only to fall a couple of points shots. In 40 minutes, Andrej (Jesuit High) Stojakovic tallied 22 points but was light on the boards with just two. Freshman Jeremiah Wilkinson's 25 points led the Bears.

Northern Arizona 65, Sacramento State 61 box. The Hornets came close at home even with missing leading scorer guard Julian Vaughns. Going 6-6 at the foul line is an obvious excellent percentage for Sacto but too minimal in points to usually nab a victory.

Texas A&M CC 69 Incarnate Word 55 box. Despite receiving 25 points (9-13, 3-5 and 4-5 shooting) from Dylan (Healdsburg High) Hayman, IW could shake a 33-29 deficit after 20 minutes.

Oregon State 79, Pacific 65 box. The Tigers out-shot the Corvallis-ites overall and on treys but the shot attempt differentials did Pacific in: 45 overall shots with 11 three-point attempts versus 60 and 28. Tiger guard Lamar Washington played well with 15 points, six boards, five assists and four steals.

UC San Diego 85, UC Davis 60 box. At least sophomore Nils Cooper (Michael's son) shone brightly in this road contest with 12 points and eight boards. He shot 5-6 overall, 2-2 at the foul line.

Montana 65, Weber State 58 box. Te'Jon (Salesian Prep/Cal Baptist/CCSF) Sawyer scored 17 points in 28 minutes and also contributed four boards plus three assists for the homecourt Grizz.

San Francisco 84, San Diego 61 box. Marcus Williams' 23 points and 20 from Malik Thomas continued the 'led by the backcourt' season long direction for the Dons.

St. Mary's 77, Washington State 56 box. The Gaels bench provided just nine points, seven rebounds and zero assists but receiving 30 points plus 10 boards from forward Paulius Murauskas covered any deficits plus 16 points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals via Augustas Marciulionis did as well.

City College San Francisco 82, DeAnza College 71 SFCC box. Rickey Mitchell Jr. paced the victorious Rams with 24 points and teammate Anthony (Riordan High) Pusateri earned a 16 point, 14 board double-double.

West Valley College 82, Cabrillo College 60

Las Positas College 98, Ohlone College 72 LPC box. Sterling (Vnden High) McClanahan's 20 points paced LPC and teammate Jorren (Washington High-Fremont) Edmonds took just six shots in scoring seven points and added seven boards, six assists, five boards, and three steals.

Chabot College 84, College of San Mateo 63 CC Box. Freshman guard Zion (Salesian Prep) Yeargin topped his team with both 17 points and seven assists. 6-foot-7 teammate Oz (Fremont High-Oakland) Savage provided 14 points (on seven shots), seven boards and four blocked shots.

Santa Rosa Junior College 94 Folsom Lake College 80 box. For SR, Andrew (Rancho Cotate High) Pengel led four starters in double figures with 27 points. He shot 5-11 from three-point range.

Caden Harris led with 22 points and teammate JoJo (Piedmont High) Murphy was right behind with 21 as Chico State bested San Francisco State 82-65. Each also contributed seven rebounds. A 55-38 first half blew open the matchup. Tyjean (Antelope High/College of the Sequoias) Burrell paced the Gators with 21 points plus six boards and three assists.

Cal State Los Angeles topped Cal State Monterey Bay 82-77 behind Shane (Salesian Prep) Bell's 24 points. He shot 8-12, 2-4 and 6-7 respectively. On the flip side, Jaden (Kennedy High) Tengan tallied 27 points for the host team and he shot 9-18, 4-9 and 5-5 respectively.

Stanislaus State fell to Cal State Dominguez Hills 73-70 despite receiving 17 points and four assists in 28 minutes from Cameron (Turlock High/Porterville College) Walker. He shot 6-8 overall, 5-7 from long distance.

In Other Games

Dominican University fell in double overtime to Hawai'i Pacific University 85-79. 6-foot-2 junior Omari (Vanden High/Texas State) Davis played 20 minutes for DU, took four shots, scored six points AND produced four rebounds, four assists and four steals.

CCAA scores from Saturday

With 23 points plus five assists, guard Shane (Salesian Prep) Bell led roadtrippin' CSLA to an 11 point second half margin that overcome a halftime deficit. Backcourter Jeremiah (Salesian Prep) Jones tallied 24 points alongside five rebounds and three assists in the 83-79 losing cause.

Cal State Dominguez Hills bested Cal State Monterey Bay 82-65 as Michael (Palo Alto High/Vermont) Mora topped the hometown Sea Otters with 15 points.

Behind 19 points and five assists via guard Caden (Capital Christian High/Yuba College) Flowers, San Francisco State took care of Cal Poly Humboldt 81-67.

Host Cal State San Bernardino edged Sonoma State 81-79 despite Chris (Jesuit Holley/Sacramento State/Santa Rosa Junior College) Holley tallying 19 points and eight assists for the Seawolves. Holley shot a very efficient 8-11, 0-1 and 3-3 respectively. Aaron (West Valley College) Ragen actually led Sonoma in scoring with 21 points, going 6-6 from long distance.

Four Chico State starters finished in double figures scoring paced by Isaiah St. Francis High/Montana) Kerr's 19 while teammate Trae Taylor provided 14 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots in a tight one, 75-72 over host Cal State East Bay. The Hayward-ites were led by Beril Kabamba's 19 points (18 shots taken) plus nine boards.

On Friday, 6-foot-9 sophomore Salim (Petaluma High) Arakat scored 15 points (6-9, 3-5, 0-0 shooting) and received credit for four boards plus a pair of assists but Menlo College fell 85-79 in double overtime to Fresno Pacific University.

On Saturday, William Jessup University freshman Wyatt (Roosevelt High) Struder totaled 15 points on perfect 3-3, 2-2, 4-4 shooting plus brought down 5 rebounds while teammate Ja'Maris Blackmon also scored 15 points in the 73-68 defeat of visiting Hawai'i Pacific.

On Saturday, UC Merced handled Simpson University 79-63 as Jayson Wiltz and Myles (Grant High) Haynes produced 14 points apiece and teammate Aidan (Dougherty Valley High/Regis University) Sevilla filled up the stats sheet via 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.

On Sunday, UC Santa Cruz utilized a 41-28 second half to down visiting Simpson University 83-66. Leading the Slugs, Joe (Pleasant Grove High) Espy led in points, rebounds and assists with 21, 17 and four plus Andrew (West Campus High/Sacramento City College) Ferrara-Jones was solid with 17 points and five boards. For SU, Jace Mills provided 22 points plus eight rebounds. Teammate Trey (Kelseyville High) Conrad shot 4-6 on threes to finish with 16 points.
