Santa Clara 69, Texas Christian 52 box. SC won both 20 minute sessions in taking down a team with a winning record as guard Carlos Stewart led the success with 18 points. Teammate Elijah (West Valley College) Mahi scored 13 points and 6-foot-9 Jake Ensminger had a unique contribution having missed all three treys he attempted and scoring zero points but leading the Broncos with both 11 rebounds and five assists.
Washington 73, Colorado State 67 box. 6-foot-8 sophomore Tyler (Newark Memorial High/Salesian Prep/Granada High/Portland) Harris paced the Huskies with 24 points (9-13 overall shooting, 5-8 on treys) and tied for the team lead in boards with eight.
St. Mary's 71, USC 32 box. In a weird one, the Gaels came damn close to doubling up on the Trojans, scoring a progressive 32 and then 39 points while USC was regressive at 21 and 15. Coach Eric Musselman's guys shot 13-50 overall and an even more ghastly 0-12 from long distance. Hard to believe Muss is 60 years old. Probably feels like 90 after this one.

6-foot-8, 190 sophomore Tyler (Newark Memorial High/Salesian Prep/Granada High/Portland) Harris is in Seattle this season and averaging a team high 14.2 points per game in five contests, two starts and just below 29 minutes an outing. He is shooting 54%, 43% and 79% respectively. Harris is grabbing 6.2 rebounds nightly, has a team-leading 13 blocked shots, five steals but has yet to register an assist versus eight turnovers. Granted, he needs to beef up his body plus develop the capacity to create for others but he is already the second best player on the Huskies squad.
