Portal Updates: "San Jose State transfer Myron Amey has committed to LMU, he announced. The 6’2” junior guard started 32/32 games, averaging 15.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. Amey shot 46% from 2, and 36% from 3 (71/196)."

Amey will be playing for an up-and-coming coach in Stan Johnson and in the West Coast Conference but any NIL $$$ had to be minimal, if at all. It's surprising he bypassed California.

Stanford's best player last season is returning. He's 7-foot-1, 250.

Jamie Shaw: "Portland freshman Tyler (Granada High) Harris has entered the Transfer Portal On3sports has learned. The 6-8 forward averaged 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds. Originally from California."

Harris will be a highly desired addition especially so because he has three years of remaining eligibility. He shot 46%, 36% and 68% respectively.

A 2025 6-foot-6 guard at Folsom High and with the Rose City Ballers, Rawlins should rise in the rankings as he becomes better known.

Verbal Commits: "Princeton F Derek Sangster has entered the transfer portal."

The 6-foot-7 Sangster is a freshman out of Archbishop Mitty. He played just 49 minutes this season.

Modesto Junior College Men's Basketball: "Excited to welcome 6’6 wing Kodey Weary to the Pirate family. Kodey is a transfer from Cal Poly Pomona."

Weary is returning to his former high school coach Brice Fantazia.

Verbal Commits: "Former Cal State Monterey Bay (DII) F/C Charles Johnston is transferring to Furman."

He is D1 in talent and now it's official. Johnston averaged 13.0 points plus 10.7 rebounds per contest this season. He shot 60%, 38% and 61% respectively. Johnston is an ace in the classroom too.

Archbishop Mitty Men's Basketball: "Congratulations to senior Hursh Mehta who committed to Pratt Institute at today’s College Commitment ceremony. Excited to watch Hursh continue to compete at the next level."

Mehta stands 6-foot-6. The Pratt Institute main campus is located in Brooklyn.

John Bynum Jr.: "Fabian (Capital Christian High) Reichstadt (Gavilan) has committed to Cal State Stanislaus. Reichstadt averaged 16.7 points and 8.4 rebounds last season for the Rams.

Reichstadt stands 6-foot-8 and weighs 245.

John Bynum Jr.: "Shakir Odenewu (West Valley College) has committed to Cal State Bakersfield. Odenewu averaged 16.8 points and 10.0 rebounds last season for the state champion Vikings."

He's 6-foot-11 and 230 or so. He shot 63% overall, 73% at the foul line so it isn't a waste when he is fouled. Look at his production. No offense to Coach Rod Barnes who gets the most out of his talent but the Cal State Bakersfield level? What am I missing?
