This is unusual as Randy Bennett rarely has transfers out of his program. A 6-foot-8 sophomore, Jefferson was a starter until he suffered a season-ending injury. He played 25 minutes a night, averaged 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 47% overall. He'll be coveted. Maybe he wanted to be featured more or is pursuing NIL dollars.

• Illinois 72, Iowa State 69 full box score. Coleman (Woodcreek High/Prolific Prep) Hawkins scored 12 points, grabbed six boards, earned three assists and pilfered two steals for the Illini.

CCAA Conference national tournament score, Thu, Mar 28

• Nova Southern 91, Cal State San Bernardino full box score. Down 53-40 at the half, Coach Gus Argenal's crew scored a much closer 37 to Nova Southern's 38 points in the second 20 minutes. San Berdoo finishes the season 27-8.
