At the 16th Annual Nor Cal Tip Off Classic, two tickets to the Golden State Warriors vs New Orleans Pelicans game on January 10 will be raffled off at half time of the 8:30 game this Saturday at Dublin High. You do not need to be present to win. $5 for one chance, $10 for 3 and $20 for $8.

The games will be held on Saturday, November 25 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Dublin High. Here's a link to the schedule.

WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – TYLER HARRIS, FR., G – PORTLAND

Harris averaged 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 56 percent from the field, 71 percent from three and 70 percent at the foul line in games against Tennessee State and Nevada. Harris scored 19 points against Nevada, adding seven rebounds, as well. Harris has won both of the Conference Freshman of the Week awards this season.

The 6-foot-8 Harris is out of Granada High.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: Biola's Casey (Las Lomas High/Diablo Valley College) Cappo, F, Jr. 6-6, 205, Walnut Creek, CA                                                    

Junior forward Casey Cappo was a model of consistency in the paint for Biola, averaging 11.5 rebounds a game in the Eagles' divide of games on their own court. The second-year Eagle, who like Medina came off the bench last season for his squad to average 7.5 points and 4.4 rebounds, had 14 points and 11 boards in the loss to CS Los Angeles. The 6-foot-6 junior had 13 rebounds against CSUSM, including nine on the defensive end. The former Diablo Valley College player also had a blocked shot in each game.
