Trilly Donovan: "Arizona State beat San Jose State 79-75 in overtime in a scrimmage today, per source."

It's a loss but a surprisingly good road showing by the Spartans. Would love to see a box score.

--------------------

"Dons beat USC in scrimmage 60-57"

One can say it doesn't count but it still means something because the Dons look ready early despite some roster turnover. Anyone locate a box score?

"Jordan Brown Named to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Watch List"

Brown has had an interesting hoops journey even since his high school days. He was at Woodcreek High, then transferred to Prolific Prep. In college, he started out at Nevada, went to Arizona but departed when Coach Sean Miller was let go. He next chose the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (which was the school his father Dion atended) and now finally Memphis.

It's difficult to develop, let alone maintain long term relationships, when always switching settings. Some players want those kind of connective bonds but it isn't necessarily a desire of everyone. Obviously can't speak for Brown in his situation.
